Fred Yu is a novelist, filmmaker, French chef, artist, Feng Shui practitioner, martial artist, and was a risk manager in a bank. He graduated from New York University, Tisch School of Arts majoring in film and television, and directed documentaries and short films while working as an operational risk manager in the financial services industry. Yu is author of two historical fantasies, a cookbook called Haute Tea Cuisine representing his innovations in extracting artisan teas in French sauces, and a martial arts instructional book on his knife system known as Yin Yang Blades.
